Automated update for further clients
ORCA offers an automatic update function for all installations of type Further client for the installation of updates. Via the Automatic Update function workstations in the network can detect by themselves that an update (Version Update or updates within a specific version) is available on the server.
As soon as you have executed the update for the t on a computer in the network, the update will be automatically installed on all other workstations the next time the application is started.
The time-consuming process of having to access all workstations to install the update is no longer necessary and it is ensured that all workstations are working with the same version.
Updates of user data
User data (projects, libraries) have to be updated according to the version status during the update and can then no longer be edited with older program versions, i.e. there must not be any different version statuses on the workstations within the network.
There are two ways to update:
- Individually when opening the application for the first time after the update
- All projects, libraries and system templates together:
(System Information | Current Messages).
You can start the update via the corresponding warning messages.
Updates of user layouts
When the application is updated to a new main version, the user layouts are automatically updated. However, your modified and customized layouts are kept.
