Additional workstation

Before you perform this installation, you must install the following on a computer in the network: First client and network directory!

1. Start at a new workstation (= Further client!) the file setup.exe in the installation directory on your Server - see Preparing the network installation.
2. Follow the wizard and In dialog Installation Type, select:

   Network

   Next >

3. In dialog Network installation, select:

   Additional workstation (Weiterer Arbeitsplatz)

   Next >

4. In Dialog Program directory, select the directory where the installation will take place.

   The proposed default directory is C:\Program Files\ORCA ....

5. In dialog Central Settings, a storage location is proposed, depending on the operating system, e.g. E:\ORCA.

   

   You must specify here the Central settings directory with the correct path from the installation First client and network directory. There you will find the client.ini file, which contains the paths for data to be shared by all clients (e.g. User Data).
   Be sure to use the correct file path, especially if you are running multiple servers.

6. In dialog Local settings, a storage location is proposed, depending on the operating system, e.g. C:\My Files\ORCA.

7. In dialog Add shortcuts, you can select:

   in "All Apps"
   on the desktop

   Without these options, you can start ORCA AVA via the Explorer from the program directory with the file Orca.Manager.exe. Of course, you can create the desktop link later by yourself.

8. In dialog Ready to install!, you can check or change your settings again with < Back if necessary. Select the Install button to install the program files on your computer.
9. At the end of the setup routine, it is proposed to directly launch the applicatzion. Starting the application completes the installation process.

A Further client automatically obtains the license information and basic settings from your specifications during the installation First client and network directory.
