Basic Settings and Licensing as the final step of the installation

The installation for single workstations and for the first workstation in networks is completed by licensing and defining the basic settings.

Basic Settings

The basic settings of the application include information on the author of the project, country-specific settings such as the selection of the BOQ-type, currency, VAT rate and the layouts to be used for outputs.

Licensing

You must enter your customer number and license key for licensing. This does not apply to Further clients , Internet updates and Updates of the installed version.

1. As soon as installation is complete, you are asked to launch the application.

   

   Select Finish (Fertigstellen) to complete installation.

   Perhaps you are asked to restart your computer. You can then start the application, e.g. using the shortcut on the desktop.

    Display Windows Installer Log File - This option is offered for operating systems Windows Vista, Windows Installer 4 or higher. This allows finding the AVAInstall.log file faster in case of support requests.

   

   The AVAInstall.log file is located in the temporary Windows directory. You can find this directory using the search function of the operating system, search term: %temp%.

2. At the first start of the application you have to enter your Customer No, and License Key in the License dialog.

   

   

   If you have received your license information by e-mail, you can transfer all license information into the fields in one go. To do this, copy all the lines with your license information from the email, as marked in the image below:

   

   Click in one of the fields Customer No.or License key. CTRL+V inserts all license information at once.

   You can access this dialog at any time via ORCA Manager |  | ORCA Solutions: Liceinsing and view the information. The Author details (Verfasserangaben) in the Basic settings (Grundeinstellungen) dialog can be used as a 'Header' in the standard printouts. You can change the author details at any time.

   You cannot change the Customer No or the License Key - we will send you this data together with your license.

The installation is successfully completed by entering the license information and clicking OK!

In networks, you can install Further clients or Mobile computers (also Update) only if the installation and licensing of the First client and Network directory have been completed.
